Today I met Natalie's LITTLE bundle of joy Ellie Jane she is only 9 days old and very very tiny! She was a little fussy when I arrived but Natalie showed me the swaddling technique she learned and Ellie instantly went to sleep and started making cute little faces. I think Natalie's got the mothering thing down and will be an awesome mom! I wish I would have taken pictures in her nursery it is so cute!

Little Miss Trease
I started to Norman yesterday and about an hour into the drive I realized I left my dress for the baby shower laying on the ironing board. I panicked for a brief moment before I realized this was a great opportunity to buy a dress totally guilt free! So I drove on to Norman and got my hair done then quickly ran to the mall to get a dress. The shower went well Natalie got some great gifts and everyone enjoyed it! She wanted this painting of a vintage Barbie Doll for the baby’s room that was her gift from the hostesses it is so unique and Natalie was ecstatic.

Baby oh Baby
I'm hosting a baby shower tomorrow night for my sweet friend Natalie and her husband Chad who are expecting a baby girl in May. I feel bad using the word host because I was only responsible for ordering the cake and showing up in enough time to help decorate tomorrow in Norman. I may not bake or cook very often but I do pride myself in knowing where to order things that look and taste better then anything I could ever produce. I think it will be a lot of fun and I'm looking forward to the day tomorrow.

Spring is in the air
Last week after the snow melted I was very excited to see these bright pink buds of the azaleas popping through. Last year when I moved in they were not blooming and I thought these "bushes" were awkward looking and should be pulled up but thanks to mom's green thumb advice I left them. Everyday I've been coming home anxious to see if more buds have opened the bushes around it are also azaleas and have pink buds just about to pop open.

Christmas Time
I've been busy this week getting my lights, Christmas tree and other decorations up around the house. I'm not going to lie I was very proud of myself for climbing the roof and getting the lights up and I'm happy with how they turned out! I got most of my shopping done this weekend so now it is time to do some wrapping so there are gifts under the tree.

Game Day
Coat, scarf, hat, blanket, cookies, hot chocolate yada yada yada it seems like a lot of stuff for just a day of tailgating and then the big game but when temperatures are forecasted in the 40’s it all seems very necessary. However it wasn’t predicted that OU would dominate Texas Tech with so much energy in the stadium and all our screaming and jumping around I was very warm and didn’t even notice if I was cold.
Living Green
I was so excited when I found this sign at Hobby Lobby this week. I love the idea of living green and minimizing your impact on the environment. While I’m not extreme I do think we can all do a few small things that would make a big difference to take care of this beautiful earth God gave us like bringing your own reusable bag to the store, recycling everything you can, washing a towel or cloth napkin every now and then vs. using a paper towel, energy efficient light bulbs etc etc. I need to get it framed but I think it will look really cute in my bedroom since the accents colors in my bedspread are green.
